A "Mummy and Me" photoshoot offers a wonderful opportunity to capture the beautiful bond between a mother and her child in a simple, relaxed, and timeless way.
Choose a comfortable and natural setting, such as a park or your own backyard, to allow for an easy-going atmosphere. Soft, neutral outfits work beautifully, as they highlight the connection between you and your little one without distractions.
Ultimately, the goal of your Mummy and Me photoshoot is to celebrate your unique relationship, creating timeless memories that can be cherished for years to come.
Maternity sessions can be booked from 12 weeks onward and photographed around the 30-36 week mark. I have some dresses you can borrow or you can keep it simple in your own outfit. If you're feeling brave you can show off bump with some underwear and a robe or cover up.
My studio is in Cruden bay then the beach is a minutes drive which is lovely for spring- summer evening sessions.
A quick insight to sone of the lovely images you could have at your newborn session. Newborn sessions are done in my home studio on weekday mornings in Cruden Bay. I love simple pure white newborn styled sessions but am happy to add some colour of your choice also.
Sessions are done from about 7-21 days new and space is allocated when you get in touch to let me know baby is here. Spaces are limited each month so pre booking is essential.
Siblings are welcome and parents are encouraged to participate also. I love to get some images in parents hands as its lovely to look back and see how teeny they were..
Cruden bay beach, Slains castle, Pitfour lake, Haddo house and a few of my favourite locations for outdoor session.
So many lovely seasons to get amazing outdoor family photos especially Autumn when the leaves are all turning gorgeous colours.
I often run mini sessions so keel an eye on my facebook page for announcements.
We all love newborn photos when they are still so small and squishy. But if your baby is over 5/6 weeks they are not “too old“ to get lovely photographs
Babies start doing more big smiles at about 8 weeks which is amazing to capture. Nearer 3 months you can get some lovely tummy ones, then around 4 months they love to grab their toes so you can get curled up ones.
Last year so many couples missed out on getting married, changing plans and holding out for good news.
I praise the one who did marry during the pandemic, LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED.
This was a lovely intimate ceremony at the registry office in Marshall college. We then headed to the beach for some snaps- the sun was out and the sky was bright blue.
After that we headed to Trump Aberdeen for some more photos followed by some relaxed speeches and the party went on to have a lovely meal.
I really hope we can get back to some higher guest numbers at weddings soon. The small ones are lovely tho.

I feel so fortunate when families come back to me to be photographed time and time again. Its so lovely watching all these families grow.
Millie is so lucky to have such doting big brothers what a gorgeous bunch this family are.
My 1st wedding in 2020 was filled with so much love, hugs and happiness. Jen and Vicki hate photos but both braved It for some casual snaps before the sun came out for some group shots. Their daughter Andie was enjoying the day too much to pose for many photographs but got some great candids and a few with their fav’s in the end.
We are now into week 9 of lockdown and all seems very much like a new normal and groundhog day at the same time.
Just before lockdown I had a wedding and lots of photoshoots booked in for newborn babies and a few maternity sessions. It was the hardest decision to close my studio before the official lockdown but knew it was for the best.
Im now taking things day by day and appreciating all the extra family time having without working. We are so fortunate the weather has been nice and that the beach is on our doorstep. One other good thing is that i’ve taken more photographs of my little boy Hugo.
When I think about the main things I am missing it is being able to see family as and when I wish ( in the flesh ) and missing working so so much ( even the editing )
Here’s to being positive and hoping things will start to lift soon, better days will come….
Paula and Jayme were married at the lovely Belhelvie church before heading to Meldrum house hotel. Paula looked amazing and had the biggest smile on her face the whole day long.
This was my last wedding before the official Covid lockdown. Hopefully its not too much longer before weddings can get back up and running.
I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca while she was pregnant with Isla. Then she came back when she was 6 weeks new to get newborn images done. Isla was a little superstar and had the most perfect skin.
